BOH Catering Events Cook – Join Our Growing Team!
The Peached Tortilla is looking for enthusiastic, confident cooks with catering or event experience to join our off-site catering team! This is a seasonal, part-time position with our busiest seasons running September–December and March–June.
Schedule & Availability
- Weekend and evening availability is required.
- Most events take place on Fridays and Saturdays, typically beginning in the afternoon and ending in the evening.
- Occasional weekday events are available, but weekends are the core of this position.
- If you are not available to work weekends and evenings, please do not apply.
Position Overview
- Part-time position with opportunities for advancement into BOH Lead's Assistant and eventually BOH Lead.
- Event sizes range from intimate 25-person dinners to 300 guest weddings and large-scale events.
- Success in this role requires speed, organization, strong communication, and the ability to work with purpose in a fast-paced environment.
Event Locations
Events are held throughout the Austin area and surrounding communities, including:
- Austin
- Dripping Springs
- Round Rock
- Georgetown
- Kyle
- And other surrounding areas
You must be comfortable traveling to different event locations. We are unable to assign events based on where you live.
Transportation RequirementsBOH Catering Events Cook
- You will report directly to each event location.
- Reliable personal transportation is required.
- Many venues are not accessible by public transportation.
- If you do not have dependable transportation, this position is not a good fit.
BOH Lead's Assistant & BOH Lead (After Promotion)
- You will begin and end your shift at The Peached Social House (our headquarters).
- A clean driving record is required, as you'll be eligible to drive company vans and box trucks.
Responsibilities
As a BOH Catering Events Cook, you will:
- Execute on-site catering under the direction of the BOH Lead.
- Prepare, cook, plate, and present food with consistency and attention to detail.
- Solve challenges on the spot while working as part of a team.
- Operate and clean equipment, including fryers, flat-top grills, warming cabinets, and other kitchen equipment.
- Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout the event.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Present a professional appearance in full uniform, as you'll often interact with clients and guests.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.

Compensation & GrowthStarting Pay
- $18/hour base pay
- Guaranteed gratuity on every hour worked
Our team participates in a weekly tip pool, with gratuities from all events combined and distributed based on hours worked.
Average gratuity adds $5–$8 per hour, bringing total average earnings to $23–$26 per hour.
