Cobblerista (Part-Time / Weekend Team Member)
The Peach Cobbler Factory of Smithfield, NC is looking for motivated, dependable, and high-energy individuals to join our team!
We’re not your average dessert shop—we serve warm cobblers, banana pudding, cinnamon rolls, shakes, and more, both in-store and through our mobile dessert trailer at events across the area.
If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, working with people, and being part of something fun, this is the job for you!
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve desserts to customers with speed and accuracy
- Deliver a friendly, welcoming customer experience every time
- Operate the register and handle cash/card transactions
- Keep the workspace clean, stocked, and organized
- Assist with event setup and breakdown (for mobile trailer events)
- Work as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills (handling cash and making change)
- Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Comfortable working at mobile events and different locations
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous food service or retail experience
- Cash handling or POS system experience
- Interest in hospitality, culinary, or business
