The Logistics Specialist communicates with our clients and vendors scheduling international and domestic relocations,
Duties include:
- Communicates with customers by phone, email, and fax;
- Communicates with corporate accounts by phone, email, and fax;
- Participates in meetings with corporate accounts locally;
- Carrier rate negotiation entry level;
- Contracting entry level;
- Schedules pack/delivery dates with domestic agents;
- Schedules pack/delivery dates with international agents;
- Client customer service;
- Issues export documents;
- Tracks shipments;
- Runs reports, including, but not limited to, status reports;
- Problem solving – simple;
- Enforces corporate shipping policies – simple;
- Uses freight software, a.k.a., Traxx;
- Tracks shipments by phone and internet;
- Data entry;
- Contracts with agents, truckers, airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, insurance agents, and third party service providers;.
- Order pre move surveys;
- Manages door to door international shipments – simple;
- Supply job cost summary for all services;
- Manages one region;
- Manages limited list of clients;
- Manages moves to limited regions;
- Local travel;
- Corporate account customer service;
- Analyzes reports simple;
- Constructs client quotations – intermediate;
- Analyze pre move surveys;
- Resolves complaints – simple;
- Filing;
- Other duties, as assigned
Candidate must have logistics experience, excellent customer services and computer skills. May need a U.S. Passport for International travel.
Language skills are a plus
