The Pavilion at Queens Rehabilitation & Nursing is committed to improving our patients' quality of life & autonomy through innovative rehabilitative services, and an exceptional level of client-centered care and attention. We are seeking an compassionate and dedicated Recreation Staff to join our interdisciplinary team of skilled health care professionals at our skilled nursing facility in Flushing, Queens!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Help residents make phone calls and video chats.
- Help transport wheelchair bound residents to various activities throughout the building.
- Participate in resident centered events such as birthdays, bingo, trivia, crafts, and a variety of other group activities.
- Execute planned activities for residents.
- Perform other duties under the direction of the Direction of recreation as needed.
- College students encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- Responsible and reliable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with a senior and sick population and able to bring an uplifting presence.
- Positive, cheerful, and helpful attitude.
- Work well as a member of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Prior recreation experience a plus
Available Schedules:
Mon-Fri from 1:30PM-8:00PM.
Mon-Fri from 10:00AM-4:00PM
Tues-Thurs from 1:30PM-8:00PM @ Sat from 10:00AM-4:00PM
