Director of Maintenance
Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time | FAA Part 145 Repair Station
Overview
An FAA-certified rotorcraft repair station is seeking a Director of Maintenance (DOM) to lead all maintenance operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance across its growing aviation services division. This individual will serve as the accountable manager for all aspects of maintenance, training, scheduling, and technical standards — and will have daily interaction with both leadership and the hands-on team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all functions of the maintenance department, including maintenance control, parts, line stations, technical support, and training
- Set and enforce standards for aircraft maintenance in line with OEM guidance, regulatory directives (ADs, EOs), and Part 145 procedures
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance safety, efficiency, and cost control
- Act as the final authority on technical standards, deviations, and airworthiness within company policy
- Coordinate with operations leadership on scheduling, planning, and modification activities
- Review and approve maintenance-related vendor contracts and outsourced service agreements
- Interpret and apply FAA regulations, particularly Part 145 directives, to all day-to-day activities
Requirements
- Current FAA A&P license (required)
- 12 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- 5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity on rotorcraft of similar class/category
- Strong familiarity with AAIP, OEM maintenance manuals, ADs, SBs, and CFRs
- Working knowledge of FAA documentation and repair station compliance protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- IA certification preferred, but not required
