Job Summary
The Community Care Worker plays a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs within their home and community environments. This position requires a compassionate individual who is skilled in communication and caregiving, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.
Duties
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in their home and community settings.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals involved in the care process.
- Drive clients to appointments, community activities, and social events as required.
- Monitor client behavior and implement behavior management strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in home community care, special education, or childcare preferred.
- Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality caregiving.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
