What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Bartender / Front of House position at The Patio Bar & Grill?
The Patio Bar & Grill is hiring an experienced, outgoing Bartender/Front of House team member to help us grow into the destination in Bristol for great food, craft cocktails, draft beer, and family fun. Our rooftop patio is one of the best spots in town to watch games, relax with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere—and we’re looking for someone who can help bring that experience to life.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both high-energy and slower-paced environments, can work independently, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service every time.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
Provide friendly, attentive, and engaging customer service
Manage bar service efficiently during both busy and slow shifts
Use Toast POS system for order entry, tabs, and payments
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
Follow all TABC laws and responsible alcohol service guidelines
Check IDs and ensure compliance with all liquor and beer regulations
Communicate clearly with kitchen and team members to ensure smooth service
Assist with opening/closing duties, restocking, and general front-of-house needs
Create a welcoming, fun environment that keeps guests coming back
Qualifications
Previous bartending experience required
Valid TABC permit required
Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and bar operations
Comfortable working independently and making decisions on the floor
Outgoing, energetic, and people-focused personality
Ability to multitask and stay composed during busy shifts
High standards for cleanliness, organization, and service
Dependable, punctual, and a true team player
