Due to continued growth in the San Francisco market, we are seeking dependable dishwashers and stewards to support kitchen operations at a variety of client locations.Position SummaryThe Dishwasher / Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in kitchen and service areas during events and daily operations. This role supports culinary teams by ensuring dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use. This is a flexible, on-call position ideal for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced kitchen environments throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.Key Responsibilities• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and hand-wash items as required• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment• Maintain cleanliness of dish areas, kitchen floors, trash areas, and back-of-house workspaces• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal• Support kitchen staff with organization of clean dishes and equipment• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times• Comply with client-specific rules, health department standards, and company policies• Adapt to varying kitchen layouts, workflows, and event timelinesQualifications• Prior dishwasher, steward, or back-of-house kitchen experience preferred but not required• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment• Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices• Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire• Reliable transportation to travel to job sites throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow direction from chefs and kitchen leadership• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability requiredPhysical Requirements• Ability to stand and walk for 6–10 hours per shift• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions• Ability to work in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environmentsWork Environment• Back-of-house kitchen and event support environment• Exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals• Assignments issued through mobile scheduling; flexibility is essentialCompensation• Hourly pay rates: $20.00–$222.00 per hour, depending on experience and assignmentNoticesFair Chance ConsiderationThe Party Staff will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records in accordance with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and applicable California and federal laws.
