The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all hard-surface floors and carpeting throughout the Skilled Nursing Facility. This position ensures a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing specialized floor care and environmental services duties in accordance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous floor care, housekeeping, custodial, or environmental services experience preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of floor care procedures and cleaning techniques.
- Ability to safely operate floor maintenance equipment.
- Understanding of chemical safety and infection control practices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
