Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for greeting visitors, providing a great first impression, and making them feel welcome and comfortable.
- Responsible for answering the telephone, routing calls, and delivering messages to employees and students throughout the school day
- Responsible for completing a background scan using the School’s visitor management software and issuing name tags for all visitors to the School
- Responsible for providing information about missing attendance data to the Division Heads on a daily basis.
- Responsible for managing the flow of people in and out of the building. Attention to security management is important.
- Awareness and appreciation of a culturally diverse community, including racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, linguistic, and gender identity diversity, is a key component of job expectations within our community
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong technology skills, including the use of various web and database tools; familiarity with Google Workspace and Veracross preferred
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
- The ability to deploy situational awareness to preserve the safety of students and community members
- The ability to think independently and collaborate in a team environment
- The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead.
- The ability to occasionally transport (e.g., move or drag) 25 lbs.
- The ability to consistently operate a computer. Proficient or the ability to learn Google tools and other applications as adopted by the school
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- The ability to maintain focus in an energetic and, at times, loud environment
