- Teach classes classes focused in drama skill building: warm ups/games, acting tools, character development, improv, team building, design/art, movement, etc
- Collaborate with co-teacher to plan curriculum during weekly meetings
- Share tasks, responsibility and leadership with co-teacher while with students
- Support discipline, focus, and engagement
- Check students in and out for the day
- Meet expectations as defined by the Park School Employee Essential Expectations
- September 3-November 6
- M, T, Th, F 3:10-4:30
- Enthusiasm for working with elementary and middle school-aged children
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in theater production, stage management, or working with young performers is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and other adults, organizational, and communication skills
- Creative problem-solving skills, a positive attitude that allows one to cooperate and collaborate effectively with others
- Flexibility in Schedule
- Demonstrate commitment to providing support to students and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in teaching and learning & experience in working in a culturally diverse community.
- The ability to sit and stand uninterrupted for 30 minute periods of time
- The ability to regularly walk on and travel across variable surfaces (e.g. level flooring, stairs, turf, gravel, asphalt, etc.)
- The ability to lead, supervise and accompany students to all areas of the school campus (including all indoor and outdoor areas), including during day-to-day responsibilities and in case of emergency.
- The ability to regularly stand, sit, crouch, and kneel down in order to support students.
- The ability to work outdoors, year-round, in variable weather conditions
- The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead.
- The ability to occasionally transport (e.g., move or drag) 25 lbs.
- The ability to maintain focus and composure in an energetic and, at times, loud environment
