Position Overview:

The Graphic Design & Marketing Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing The Park RVA’s online presence by creating and curating content across social media platforms, external marketing, the website, and email marketing campaigns. This part-time role (20-30 hours per week) is ideal for a creative, tech-savvy individual who enjoys storytelling and engaging with audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Develop creative and engaging content, including photos, videos, and graphics, for social media, email campaigns, and the website.
• Social Media Management: Post, monitor, and engage with followers on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to drive traffic and sales.
• Community Engagement: Interact with online audiences by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments to promote venue events, specials, and other offerings effectively.
• Market Research: Stay up-to-date on digital marketing trends, competitor strategies, and platform algorithm changes to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or obtained Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Proficiency in basic graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
• Previous experience in a similar role or industry is a plus but not required.

Working Hours:

Part-time position, 20-30 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work may be required for event coverage.

Compensation:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour.
