What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Designer position at The Parish Group?
Company Description: The Parish Group is a 38-year old higher education marketing and enrollment management agency based in Asheville, North Carolina. We're located in a creative loft space overlooking downtown Asheville's historic Pack Square.
Role: We're seeking a Digital Designer to join the team at our Asheville office. While we will give preference to local talent who can be in-person, we will consider remote workers based in North Carolina.
This is a full-time position. Hours are 8:30am-5:30pm EST Monday to Friday. Our workplace culture is collaborative and creative. We won’t require you to wear a suit and tie–we’re a more casual bunch, but serious about our work and the success we build for our partner institutions.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Digital design for social media posts, blog graphics, and digital marketing materials including emails, digital ads, presentations, newsletter, and proposals
- Web design, including coding ability in HTML / CSS / basic JavaScript, knowledge of WCAG guidelines, and responsive design best practices.
- Design and creation of short animations/motion graphics to include in organic and paid marketing materials
- Video editing of our Slate 101 series and recorded presentations
- Email design and build, including responsive layouts, HTML/CSS, and understanding of SEO and email client best practices
This position's workload splits at around 35% web design and 65% digital design.

Experience with the Following Tools:
- Figma and/or Adobe InDesign (This is a must)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- WordPress / Elementor / ACF
- Monday.com (preferred, but not required)
- Slate CRM (preferred, not required)
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Digital Media, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, or simliar
- 3 years experience with web and digital design
- Ad / Creative Agency
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days:
- Completing and launching company's new website (60% in-progress)
- Creating new look for proposal templates
