As an ER Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

What You’ll Do

As an ER Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a vital role in life‑saving care by:

  • Supporting veterinarians during emergency cases
  • Delivering emergency first aid and advanced nursing care to injured or critical patients
  • Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical and post‑operative care
  • Preparing patients and instruments for emergency procedures
  • Obtaining and monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure and SpO₂
  • Collecting lab samples (blood, urine, tissue) and performing in‑house diagnostics
  • Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
  • Supporting patient flow through admissions, treatment, and discharge
  • Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, and exam areas
  • Using safe restraint techniques and following hospital protocols
  • Collaborating closely with doctors, technicians, and support teams

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2 years of emergency veterinary technician experience
  • ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials strongly encouraged
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting
  • Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail in fast‑moving situations
  • Comfort working with ICU patients and advanced diagnostics
