The Paramount at Somers is looking for an accomplished professional Memory Care/Dementia Specialist to join our Recreation Team. The candidate will provide therapeutic and social programming to meet the emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and completing the monthly and daily memory care calendars
- Take attendance during daily activities
- Prepare MDS interview assessments, care plans and progress notes
- Develop and implement daily programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist CRTS preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years experience with geriatric long-term population or therapeutic recreation environment required
- Certification in dementia and/or behavior management
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel) and EMR (Point, Click, Care)
- Ability to read and understand task assignments; must have excellent communicattion skils
Salary: Up to $28 an hour
