Job Summary
We are seeking an independent, responsible, and trustworthy Venue Assistant to join our team at The Paper Mill Event Center. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our event spaces and supporting various event-related activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that includes events such as weddings, corporate retreats, fundraisers, and community events. The Venue Assistant will be responsible for cleaning the venue between events and event setup.
Responsibilities
- Clean the venue between events.
- Set up and breakdown of events, including seating arrangements and equipment management.
- Provide professional event support to vendors and clients if needed.
- Manage and maintain venue supplies and inventory.
Skills
- Ability to execute a thorough cleaning routine including sweeping, mopping, dusting, bathroom cleaning, and window washing.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the physical stamina to stand and lift 20-30 lbs for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and set your own schedule.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating memorable experiences are highly valued.
- Background in cleaning or hospitality industries is beneficial.
- Knowledge of audio/visual equipment is beneficial.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
