What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at The Pantry Bend?
The Pantry is hiring a part-time cook for our breakfast program with a flexible schedule, a strong work ethic, and a passion for bringing quality, house-made food to the community. This position works two morning shifts as a breakfast cook, with the option to take on baking and/or barista shifts with requisite experience.
Responsibilities
- Cooking hot breakfast foods with recipes, including burritos and sandwiches
- Preparing ingredients to specifications for service, including cutting, par-cooking, and sauce making
- Keeping a clean and organized workspace during and after service
- Tracking and logging station inventory for BoH communication
- Supporting baristas with customer service and prep tasks, such as making milks and syrups with recipes
Requirements
- Previous line cook experience or culinary training
- Possesses an Oregon Food Handlers Card and knowledge of safe food practices
- Reliable, hardworking, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work the line and prep food efficiently by yourself
- Open to a flexible work schedule and picking up assisting shifts
- Experience with baking pastries and/or barista work is a bonus
Pay: $19-21 an hour
