Position Overview
A leading Life Sciences organization is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee full operational delivery of a 24/7 research campus and corporate headquarters environment. This individual will lead a multi-level facilities team supporting critical laboratory, office, and regulated operational spaces while ensuring exceptional service delivery, compliance, and uptime across the site.
The role serves as the primary point of accountability for facilities operations, vendor management, work order execution, environmental systems oversight, and client-facing performance reporting in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily facilities operations across multiple service lines, including work order management, preventive maintenance, and critical response activities
- Oversee building systems, environmental monitoring platforms, HVAC infrastructure, and CMMS-driven maintenance programs
- Ensure uninterrupted support for critical research, laboratory, vivarium, and technical environments requiring immediate response and strict compliance standards
- Manage loading dock and logistics operations, including temperature-controlled shipments and vendor coordination
- Supervise and develop a 10 person facilities team across multiple operational tiers and schedules
- Drive vendor performance, service quality, KPI attainment, and client satisfaction metrics
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, GxP, safety, and regulated operational procedures
- Oversee cleaning, pest control, and overall site readiness across a large campus footprint
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, response times, and service delivery enhancement
Qualifications
Required
- 7 years of facilities management experience, including experience within Life Sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or cGMP environments
- Prior leadership experience managing large facilities teams in high-volume or 24/7 operations
- Experience with BMS, CMMS, and environmental monitoring systems
- Strong background in vendor management, operational reporting, and client-facing communication
- Working knowledge of OSHA, GxP, regulated environments, and facilities compliance standards
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain
Preferred
- CFM, FMP, PMP, or similar certification
- Experience within outsourced or managed facilities services environments
- Exposure to vivarium, regulated lab, or critical research operations
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Maximo, Siemens/Navitas, or similar operational platforms
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
