Job Description
Position Summary
- The ideal Project Manager – Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant clients and project team members.
Responsibilities
- Managing 2-3 entry-level engineers. Checking in daily and delegating tasks.
- Managing a variety of projects at a time, including engineering of the project, plan preparation, permitting, reports, etc.
- Design of subdivisions and commercial projects, including grading plans, drainage, paving, water main and sewers, and prepare storm water management reports.
- Monitor the project’s budget, schedule, and maintain client contact and relationship.
- Communicates with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate to the project.
- Prepare, format, and organize project documents and CAD files.
- Submit plans and permit packages to municipalities, state agencies, and the DNR as required.
- Lead the change order process, including coordinating updates with clients and guiding administrative staff on documentation.
- Coordinate with municipalities when plans are reviewed or returned, facilitating communication between clients and townships.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer.
- Wisconsin PE or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience within public and private engineering projects, including site development, commercial development, and residential subdivisions.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented and able to self-perform work with minimal oversight.
