The Palms Hotel, a historic guest house (31 units) in Key West, is seeking a friendly, reliable, and service-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere, assisting guests throughout their stay, and being part of a small, team-focused environment.
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play an important role in shaping their overall experience. You will be responsible for handling daily front desk operations, assisting with guest needs, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay from check-in to check-out.
Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Previous customer service experience preferred (hospitality experience is a plus)
- Experience with Cloudbeds is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and phone system knowledge
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry luggage up to 60 lbs as needed
Duties include:
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor
- Perform check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Provide information about the property, amenities, and local attractions
- Assist guests with luggage and special requests as needed
- Handle guest concerns calmly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk area
- Promote and sell local tours to enhance the guest experience while earning commission
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs
