The Palms at Polo Trace is an upscale, full-service restaurant located in the beautiful Polo Trace community has an immediate opening for an experienced Back-of-House Kitchen Supervisor / Hourly Lead to support our Kitchen Manager in delivering an exceptional, chef-inspired dining experience. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a culinary professional who thrives in an upscale, service-driven environment and is ready to grow within a world-class organization.
The Kitchen Supervisor will play a key role in day-to-day kitchen operations, team leadership, quality control, and execution of service—ensuring standards are met consistently while supporting private dining events and high-volume service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Kitchen Manager in all back-of-house operations
- Lead, train, and motivate BOH team members during service and prep
- Maintain culinary standards, consistency, and presentation in a chef-inspired kitchen
- Assist with menu execution, prep planning, and production workflows
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times
- Help coordinate staffing and kitchen flow in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
- Support planning and execution of private dining events and special functions
- Serve as a working leader and point of contact in the Kitchen Manager’s absence
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Cook, or Sous Chef
- Upscale, country club, resort, or full-service restaurant experience preferred
- Strong culinary foundation with knowledge of proper cooking methods and techniques
- Proven ability to lead by example in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional, positive communication and teamwork mindset
- Stable employment history with demonstrated reliability
- Interest in career growth and advancement in culinary leadership
