Job Description:
The Hospitality Aide supports residents and care staff by providing non-clinical assistance that enhances comfort, safety, and quality of life within the assisted living community. This role focuses on customer service, meal support, housekeeping assistance, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming environment. The Hospitality Aide does provide direct hands-on care specifically permitted by state regulation and facility policy.
Resident Support
Assist residents with non-clinical needs such as:
Delivering beverages, snacks, and room-temperature checks.
Escorting residents to dining areas or activities (no transfer assistance unless trained and approved).
Providing companionship, conversation, and engagement.
Respond to resident requests promptly and communicate needs to care staff.
Dining Services
Help set up dining rooms, including table settings and meal prep tasks.
Serve meals, assist residents with opening packages, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
Clear meal trays, wipe tables, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in dining areas.
Housekeeping & Environment
Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as making beds, tidying resident rooms, emptying trash, and restocking linens.
Maintain cleanliness in common areas (lounges, hallways, activity rooms).
Report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
Activity Support
Assist activity staff by helping transport residents, distributing materials, and encouraging participation.
Support scheduled group activities and recreational programs.
Team Support & Communication
Relay resident concerns or changes in condition to nursing staff.
Work collaboratively with CNAs, nurses, housekeeping, dietary, and activities departments.
Follow facility policies and state regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in hospitality, housekeeping, dining services, or senior living preferred but not required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Compassionate, patient, and able to work with older adults.
Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively as part of a team.
