What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seeking Full Time Couples Counselor position at The PAIR Center for Couples Counseling, PLLC?
Here at PAIR, our mission is to help couples rediscover their passion and reignite the intimacy in their relationship, educate couples on how to align themselves on the same page through the use of psychoeducation and teaching evidence-based tools and relational skills and encourage couples to fully invest in one another so that they can rebuild a healthier, long-lasting relationship. We do this through the use of the Gottman Method, an evidence-based treatment model that is backed by decades of clinical research. We work with couples in all stages of their relationship, including premarital and couples who are considering divorce. Although our passion is working with couples, we also provide trauma-informed, culturally inclusive, individual counseling to adolescents and adults from diverse populations.

Applicants for this position must have in person availability, exhibit cultural humility, be able to provide trauma-informed care to ALL populations and be committed to examining how their biases may impact their work.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Master's degree in Counseling or a related field
- Valid N.C. licensure or certification as a Counselor (MUST BE FULLY LICENSED)
- 3 years experience in mental health counseling, preferably in a clinical or private practice setting
- Strong knowledge of Couples counseling principles and practices including but not limited to:
- Gottman Method
- EFT
- IFS / Parts Work
- CBT/ TF-CBT/ DBT
- Somatic Experiencing & Holistic Healing modalities
- Ability to work effectively independently
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and treatment planning
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
