Pottery/Ceramics & Art Studio Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pottery/Ceramics Studio Assistant to join our team. You must have pottery experience. You will be responsible for studio cleanliness, organization, walk-ins, and flow. This position requires patience, friendliness, the desire to solve problems, a good attitude and a strong work ethic.
Duties:
- Greet students & members happily and get them settled
- Assist as needed if there is a class during your shift
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with special needs or learning challenges
- Prepare materials and set up equipment for lessons
- Maintain a clean and organized studio
Experience:
- Previous experience working as an assistant, instructor, studio tech, or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of centering on the pottery wheel, managing clay recycle, trimming, and glazing
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, including children, teenagers, and adults
- Familiarity with educational techniques for different age groups
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00/hr tips
Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
