Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for dogs and other small animals.
- Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and yourself.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming environment within the mobile unit, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet care.
- Manage scheduling appointments efficiently while ensuring timely service delivery across multiple locations.
- Assist with pet handling during grooming procedures, demonstrating expertise in dog training, animal handling, and veterinary-related tasks when necessary.
- Perform light maintenance of grooming equipment and supplies to ensure optimal operation during each appointment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting of animals and equipment throughout the workday.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Preferred that you provide your own professional level grooming equipment , however this is negotiable.
- This is a new service for our company and so we cannot guarantee a minimum amount of work, however after polling existing clients there is a good amount of interest In this new service.
- Once a core clientele has been established we are open to transitioning you to a Commission based pay scale of preferred.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
