The Overture Group is seeking an entrepreneurial Executive Search Consultant to develop client relationships and lead retained executive search engagements from initial discovery through placement and onboarding.

For more than 16 years, The Overture Group has helped privately held, private equity-backed, and middle-market organizations recruit, assess, and retain executive leadership. Our consultants work directly with CEOs, presidents, owners, boards, and senior leadership teams on hiring decisions that shape the future of their organizations.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys business development, relationship building, executive recruiting, and managing complex client engagements from start to finish.

What You Will Do

• Develop new client relationships and identify retained executive search opportunities.
• Build relationships with business leaders, executives, private equity professionals, and referral sources.
• Lead executive search engagements from initial client discovery through successful placement and onboarding.
• Learn each client’s business, culture, strategic priorities, and leadership needs.
• Develop position specifications, search strategies, candidate profiles, and client presentations.
• Source, recruit, interview, and assess senior-level executives.
• Advise clients on candidate markets, compensation, interview strategy, selection, and offers.
• Manage multiple assignments while providing strong communication, responsiveness, and follow-through.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five or more years of experience in executive search, professional recruiting, consultative sales, business development, professional services, or a related field.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with executives, clients, and candidates.
• Strong business acumen and an interest in understanding how middle-market companies operate.
• Excellent communication, interviewing, organization, and project management skills.
• Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
• High standards for professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and client service.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM or applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and AI-enabled productivity tools is preferred.
