Overview

• We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associates to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, and contribute to the overall success of the store through effective sales techniques and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
• Communicate product knowledge effectively to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions and returns.
• Cash Control, including shift drawer count and reconciliation
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are readily available.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, conducting stock checks, and managing product displays.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of store
• Display a positive attitude and promote teamwork
• Exhibit professionalism in appearance and conduct

Compensation:

$13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Job Skills:

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by store operations
• Reliable.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting store promotions or events.
• Comfortable multi-tasking and adapt easily to change.
• Ability to work alone, including opening or closing the store.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Ability to commute to other stores within a 30 mile radius.

Education

• High school diploma/ GED (required)
• 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
• Must be able to pass the required certifications for Selling/Serving Alcohol, Selling Tobacco and Food Handling within the allotted attempts
• Must complete the Smokin' Joe's Associate New Hire Training Program

Physical Requirements

• Stand 6-9 hours
• Walk, bend, squat, kneel, twist, reach overhead and below waist – frequently
• Climb occasionally
• Hand manipulation, example typing, running cash register - constantly
• Lift up to 25 lbs consistently, 25-40 lbs frequently; 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work alone, unassisted
