What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Repair Technician position at The Outlet by ELS?
Full Time Medical Paid Vacation
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES Deluxing of all outbound furniture prior to delivery to ensure no damages are present and all parts are included Minor to more complex repair of damages/ defects in order to meet standards (i.e. wood repair, touch ups, etc.) Paint and finish color-matching for wood products, using lacquers for flat to high gloss finishes Inventory and organize all shop tools and repair materials/supplies Assist in other areas of the furniture warehouse operations as needed Assess damages and choose the appropriate method of repair. Demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times. All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience, including shop and/or school. Experience using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture. Woodworking, paint color matching, custom framing, coatings and finishes on various surfaces, furniture construction methods. Ability to repair some of the following: wood, leather, fabric, metal, stone, marble, concrete Work in a fast paced environment Positive can-do attitude Exceptional problem solving skills Team player Multi task different projects at the same time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable standing and or walking for up to 8 hours
- Willing and able to operate powered industrial equipment and tools including lifts, hand trucks and radios
- Varied temperatures
