East Coast Surgery Center is a growing, state-of-the-art, Ambulatory Surgery Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our team of ten Surgeons, ten Mid-Level Providers and our dynamic clinical team are dedicated to providing compassionate and cutting-edge orthopedic care. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Operating Room Orderly to join our lively team.
This position involves daytime shift work; no weekends, no holidays, no call!
Position Expectations:
As an Operating Room Orderly, you will be responsible for assisting staff with operating room turnover, transferring patients, following proper procedures for lifting and moving patients, restocking, assisting with patient care as needed and other duties as assigned, based on the needs of the Operating Room.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a surgical environment, along with a commitment to maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Surgical Orderly or in a similar healthcare role preferred.
- Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment safely.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff.
- Basic understanding of infection control and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
