Materials Manager – Operating RoomEmployment Type: Full-Time
Responsible for managing the daily supply and inventory needs of the Operating Room. Oversees ordering, receiving, stocking, organization, and distribution of surgical supplies and equipment. Maintains appropriate inventory levels, monitors product expiration dates, coordinates with vendors and purchasing, and helps ensure supplies are available for scheduled procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage OR inventory, supplies, and equipment.
- Order and restock surgical materials as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels, expiration dates, and product usage.
- Coordinate with surgical staff, vendors, and purchasing departments.
- Maintain organized, clean, and efficient supply areas.
- Track supply costs and identify opportunities to reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
- Support the Operating Room team with daily supply needs.
Qualifications:Previous healthcare, Operating Room, inventory, or materials-management experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
