Role Description The Litigation Associate Attorney will handle a variety of civil and, as needed, criminal litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and preparing case strategies under the supervision of senior attorneys. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, analyzing case law and statutes, advising clients on legal options, and participating in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions. The attorney will appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials, manage case files, and maintain clear and timely communication with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Omaha, NE, requiring regular collaboration with the firm’s attorneys and staff to support clients across multiple practice areas.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, including civil litigation and familiarity with criminal proceedings.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law and related regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients in diverse situations.
- Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and administrative regulations.
- Effective Negotiation skills for settlements, mediations, and client advocacy.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Nebraska (Iowa admission or willingness to obtain is a plus).
- Prior litigation experience through clerkships, internships, or law firm practice preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, ethical judgment, and commitment to client service.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple matters, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
