Part-Time Bookkeeper – Ornate Events / The Ornate Project
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid / Remote with occasional in-person)

Ornate Events / The Ornate Project is a fast-growing events and nightlife brand producing high-end music experiences, rooftop events, and large-scale productions across NYC. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to help keep our finances organized as we scale.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records, track expenses and revenue across multiple events and venues, and support overall financial organization. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced events environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records
- Track income and expenses across events, ticket sales, and partnerships
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
- Handle invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
- Assist with budgeting for events and operational costs
- Work with external accountants during tax season
- Ensure all financial data is organized and up to date
Qualifications
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting (2 years preferred)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, or similar tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience in events, hospitality, or nightlife is a plus
- Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet with financial information
Compensation
- Flat monthly rate.
