Job Overview
This position is responsible for the management of campus facilities including supervision of both internal personnel as well as contracted services. This oversight will include custodial, grounds, and building maintenance. This position also has responsibilities for regulatory compliance, fleet management, and fire safety.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing excellent facility management for the Orion Group campus, including but not limited to: in house and outsourced custodial, maintenance, and grounds
- Manages the timeliness of daily responses from the facility department to daily work orders, prioritizing issues impacting staff, students and residents, to ensure
- Ensure that all building systems, including but not limited to: heating/plumbing, telephone, security and access, security cameras are in working order, that all compliance requirements are met, and that they are all maintained as required.
- Review of all quotes provided by the facility team for reasonability and accuracy.
- Manages the operational budget for facilities and be sure that all expenses stay within budget.
- Review of pricing for major facilities projects and services, including but not limited to: custodial and trash pick-up, etc.
- Manage all regulatory compliance including but not limited to drainage, fire codes, and occupancy permitting.
- Responsible for management of the fleet of vehicles, including monitoring necessary maintenance, annual registrations and inspections, and purchasing of any new vehicle.
- Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in facility/construction management; or equivalent experience
- Experience
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in construction and project management;
- Experience working directly with building contractors, material specifications and federal/state and local governments for permitting, as required by the project preferred;
- 7-10 years of facility management, including but not limited to: construction, maintenance, custodial, grounds.
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of CAD systems helpful;
- Microsoft Office Products;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to negotiate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
