We are launching a high-end, high-volume catering program and we need a dynamic, aggressive Director of Catering Sales to take our "Five Boroughs Feast" and "Midtown Executive Mixer" packages directly into the boardrooms, locker rooms, and event spaces of Southwest Florida.
The Role: We Need a "Hunter"
We are not looking for an inbound order-taker. We are looking for a proactive, connected outside sales professional who thrives on shaking hands, distributing tasting boxes, and closing high-ticket deals. You will be the face of Wolfie’s catering in the Sarasota/Manatee market.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and Close: Aggressively hunt for new B2B catering accounts, targeting professional firms, wealth management and other institutional offices, medical/pharmaceutical organizations, nonprofits, private jet and yacht charters, and corporate event planners.
- Sports & Athletics Accounts: Capitalize on our established network of professional athletes and elite training programs (including IMG Academy and national sports circuits) to lock in high-volume, protein-heavy team meals and training camp catering.
- Networking & Outreach: Attend local Chamber of Commerce events, networking groups, and community functions to build a pipeline of future catering clients (weddings, shivas, bar/bat mitzvahs, and galas).
- Account Management: Be the dedicated point of contact for VIP clients, ensuring their orders are flawless from the initial pitch to the final delivery.
- Pipeline Tracking: Manage the catering sales pipeline, tracking leads, follow-ups, and revenue goals.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 2 years of outside B2B sales experience. Hospitality, hotel catering, or medical device/pharma sales experience is a massive plus.
- Fearless: You have zero hesitation about walking past a gatekeeper with a box of hot pastrami sliders to get to the decision-maker.
- Connected: You already have a strong working network in the Sarasota/Manatee business communities.
- Passionate: You genuinely love great food and can sell the nostalgia, quality, and legacy of an authentic NY Deli.
Compensation
- Competitive Base Salary ($45-$60K based on experience)
- Uncapped Commission on all new catering business generated (5-10%)
- Quarterly bonuses for hitting revenue targets (eg. $1000 for every $50K generated)
