Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Ensure food is stored, handled, and prepared safely and hygienically
- Collaborate with the Dietary department to plan menus and ensure dietary requirements are met
- Assist in menu planning for special events and catering
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers, and ovens
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience working in the food industry as a cook or similar role
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
