Responsibilities
- Clear and clean tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, ensuring a smooth flow of service
- Assist with setting tables according to restaurant standards, including proper placement of utensils, glassware, and linens
- Maintain cleanliness in all dining areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Support servers by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting when moving chairs, tables, or supplies following safe lifting practices
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate service needs and ensure seamless operations
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Strong cleaning skills with an eye for detail to maintain hygiene standards
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and physical movement of furniture or supplies
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and table setting techniques is a plus
- Experience in catering or hospitality industries can be advantageous but is not mandatory
