The Gastroenterology East division of The Oregon Clinic is seeking a per-diem Endoscopy Nurse to join our busy Endoscopy Center located in the Gateway area of NE Portland (near the MAX line). This position will work approximately four 10 hour shifts per month. Responsibilities include admission and recovery of patients and monitoring patients, but may include procedure room duties as needed. We are looking for an energetic team player who can multitask and provide high quality patient care in a busy outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have prior acute care/recovery experience. No weekend, evening or holiday call is required with the position. Level and pay depend on experience: $40.55 - $54.86 per hour.
Requirements:
- Current Oregon State Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS required
- At least 2 years prior RN or LPN experience preferred
- Prior experience in an acute care/recovery setting preferred
- Prior experience with EMR-Logician and Centricity a plus
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and office staff, patients and their families
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines
