About the Role:
The Plant/EVS Staff position is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment within our facilities across the United States. This role focuses on ensuring that all plant areas, including production floors, common spaces, and external grounds, meet rigorous cleanliness and safety standards. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall operational excellence by supporting environmental services, waste management, and facility upkeep. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance and cleanliness issues, thereby supporting the health and safety of all employees and visitors. Ultimately, the Plant/EVS Staff plays a critical role in sustaining a productive and compliant workplace environment that aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in janitorial, environmental services, or facility maintenance roles.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and operate cleaning equipment safely.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Basic communication skills to understand instructions and report issues effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in environmental services or facility maintenance.
- Experience working in industrial or manufacturing plant environments.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Ability to operate specialized cleaning machinery and tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in plant and facility areas, including floors, restrooms, break rooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify hazards, maintenance needs, or cleanliness issues and report them promptly to management.
- Support the setup and breakdown of equipment and materials for plant operations and events as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Skills:
The required skills enable the Plant/EVS Staff to efficiently perform cleaning and maintenance duties while adhering to safety and environmental standards.
