At The Opportunity Pre-School, we are dedicated to providing Early Intervention and Pre-School Services to all families, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for children with special needs and typically developing children. We are currently seeking a compassionate Assistant to join our team for the Summer. As an Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental goals of preschool children. This position offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the growth and well-being of our children.
**Responsibilities:**
Under the Direct Supervision of the Classroom Teacher
- Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans for preschool special education children
- Support children in their educational and developmental goals
- Provide one-on-one support to children
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Assist in monitoring children's progress and documenting observations
- Help organize materials and maintain a clean, safe classroom environment
**Experience:**
- Previous experience working with children.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles.
