Catholic Charities has an immediate opening for a Caregiver. The Caregiver is responsible for providing cares and activities of daily living, direct supervision and activity programming to Community Connections participants, adhering to each participant's individualized care plan.

Starting pay is $17.40 per hour; commensurate with experience.

Principal Accountabilities
Client Services
- Provide direct care assistance to participants, as needed, including medication administration, vitals, personal care, recreation/leisure activities, community outings, and transportation as outlined in individualized care plan.
- Plan and facilitate meaningful individual and group recreational activities that foster socialization, relationship building, and engagement, aligned with participants' interest, hobbies, and strengths.
- Apply a person-centered approach that respects each participant's abilities, preferences, and needs.
- Build and maintain supportive relationships with participants and their formal/informal support networks.
- Observe and report changes in participants' conditions or behaviors promptly and professionally.
- Contribute to planning and evaluation of programming, health monitoring, and individual goals and outcomes for participants.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements and agency standards.
- Attend required team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- CNA experience is preferred but not required.
- At least one year of experience working with the program's target population or in a related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and tolerate medium to high physical effort including walking, standing, lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling.
- Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record required to drive company vehicles.
