The Role
We're looking for a dependable, compassionate Part-Time Cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you'll prepare and serve nutritious, home-style meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents — and bring a little joy to their day.
What You'll Do
● Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary requirements
● Follow modified-diet and texture-modified food guidelines (minced, pureed, etc.)
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen in compliance with health codes
● Monitor food temperatures, portion sizes, and presentation standards
● Collaborate with dietary staff and care team to accommodate individual resident needs
● Assist with ordering, inventory, and proper food storage
What We're Looking For
● Previous cooking experience, preferably in a senior living, healthcare, or institutional setting
● Familiarity with modified diets and senior nutritional needs is a strong plus
● ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Reliable, punctual, and genuinely caring attitude toward older adults
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
