Position Overview:

The Greeter is the Guest’s first impression of the restaurant; therefore, professionalism, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and an efficient manner is critical in determining whether the Guest will become a loyal customer. The Greeter orchestrates the flow of seating and thereby greatly influences the sales volume of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

1. Upholds company mission and philosophy.
2. Greets Guests promptly and seats Guests efficiently in accordance with the standards and procedures in the Greeter Workbook.
3. Answers the telephone and directs calls in a friendly, efficient manner.
4. Promotes sales. Has a thorough understanding of the restaurant’s products.
5. Maintains wait list effectively to ensure Guests are taken care of in an efficient and accurate manner. Seats Guests within timing standards.
6. Performs setup and side-work duties in an efficient and accurate manner. Helps to maintain cleanliness of restaurant.
7. Works as a member of the team to serve Guests. Maintains positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward Guests and coworkers. Assists others whenever able, including bussing and resetting tables.
8. Maintains highest standards of hygiene and sanitation. Follows Health Department standards for hygiene and safe food handling. Maintains current Food Handlers Permit.
9. Works toward ensuring profitability by controlling waste, promoting sales, and ensuring all items ordered are rung in.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to move throughout all areas of the restaurant.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs.
• Stamina; able to stand for long periods.
