Business Development Specialist in Energy & Infrastructure needed at a top global law firm.
At least 5 years of marketing professional experience (required); and
Experience supporting Corporate / Energy & Infrastructure group
* Work with attorneys and business development team members to draft and produce high-quality pitches, proposals and RFP responses;
* Develop and maintain marketing materials, including practice descriptions, web content, attorney bios and experience lists;
* Coordinate submissions for legal directories, awards and rankings relevant to the firm's industry-focused practices;
* Manage sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring the firm maximizes benefits and return on investment;
* Conduct research on clients, prospects and competitors to support meetings and cross-selling opportunities;
* Collaborate with the events team and attorneys to plan and execute client events, seminars and webinars. Maintain key contact mailing lists;
* Assist with industry and client team initiatives;
* Work with the marketing and communications teams on media relations, editorial projects, design and digital marketing initiatives;
* Build knowledge of Firm practice areas to effectively support marketing strategies; and
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Proficiencies:
* Excellent verbal and communication skills, including attention to detail and proofreading;
* Solid understanding of the needs and expectations of law firm operations and corporate legal clients in order to function at a strategic level;
* Knowledge of marketing principles, procedures, concepts and practical applications;
* Knowledge of technologies, developments, trends and literature related to legal and professional services marketing fields;
* Proficiency in MS Office suite;
* Fundamental knowledge of networking and relationship management;
* Proficiency in team building, management and leadership skills; and
* Fundamental knowledge of legal concepts.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in marketing, law or business (required);
* At least 5 years of marketing professional experience (required); and
* Experience supporting Corporate / Energy & Infrastructure group (preferred).
Salary : $91,000 - $116,000
