Role summary
Own revenue growth across sponsorships, partnerships, memberships, awards, learning, and new products. Build multi-year funding with brands, platforms, and agencies. Lead a small high-performing team and an org-wide growth rhythm.
What success looks like in 12 months
- Net new multi-year partnerships closed with tiered funding commitments
- Sponsorship revenue up YoY with diversified category mix
- Membership and awards entry revenue increased with clear
- Predictable quarterly forecast within ±5% accuracy
- Repeatable GTM playbooks implemented across programs
Core responsibilities
- Set and deliver the growth plan across all revenue lines and regions
- Originate, negotiate, and close six-figure strategic partnerships
- Create funding packages that bundle awards, events, content, and education
- Build an enterprise pipeline, drive RFP responses, and oversee pricing
- Lead forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and deal reviews in CRM
- Partner with Programs, Awards, Editorial, and Finance to meet KPIs
- Develop partner success and renewal motions with measurable impact
- Recruit, coach, and performance-manage a small BD team
- Report quarterly to the CEO and Board on targets, risks, and opportunities
Qualifications
- 10 years in business development, sponsorships, or partnerships with a proven record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Deep senior relationships across brand-side marketing and agency networks
- Strong commercial acumen, deal structuring, and contract negotiation
- Skilled at building narratives, proposals, and C-suite presentations
- Data-literate. Comfortable with pipeline analytics, pricing, and ROI cases
- Nonprofit or mission-driven experience is a plus

Compensation
$150k bonus
