Job Description
The sanitation associate is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of all production areas to include machine/equipment, the warehouse, and facilities common areas in order to maintain food safety standards, meet worker safety requirements, and ensure a clean work environment.

Job Duties
- Clean assigned common areas within the facility to include: Rooms, halls, entrances, stairways, and elevators. Wipe down and sanitize general office equipment, including copiers, printers, fax machines. Clean and stock restrooms throughout the day.
- Throw away garbage (must be able to lift 50 gallon garbage cans)
- Dust and clean production machines/equipment, pipes, air vents, fans.
- Operate floor scrubber
- Perform work which could involve walking, bending and twisting, standing, reaching, sitting, and climbing stairs
- Follow all cleaning requirements in accordance with company and food safety standards
- Ensure safe handling and adequate use of chemical products per training
- Fill out and sign off on Sanitation Sheets in a timely manner
- Report anything that may cause damage, accidents, or need repair to the Supervisor
- Arrange for timely assistance from other trades where required.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation and freedom from hazards and infections.
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- This position has the authority to experience a certain degree of autonomy ensuring cleanliness of the assigned area under their jurisdiction
Minimum Requirements
- High school, GED or equivalent
- Attention to detail
- Required to work standard 8 hour shifts
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed (based on seasonal demand)
- Effectively work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
- Willingness to learn, improve, and work in all assigned areas
- Prior sanitation experience is a plus
