Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of meals, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Support menu planning by helping to select ingredients and organize meal schedules
• Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, adhering to all food handling regulations
• Serve meals to residents or customers in a courteous and efficient manner
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and sanitation tasks
• Contribute to catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and setting up serving stations
• Follow all food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health standards

Skills

• Experience working in dietary departments or food service environments, such as restaurants or catering companies
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including cooking, knife skills, and meal assembly
• Familiarity with menu planning and food industry best practices
• Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards at all times
• Excellent communication skills for serving customers or residents effectively
• Proven kitchen experience with proficiency in food handling, cooking, and food safety procedures
• Enthusiasm for culinary arts with a focus on nutritious meal preparation and presentation

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
