What are the responsibilities and job description for the Signage Installer position at The Ohio State University?
Join our team as a Signage Installer and play a key role in shaping the visual experience across The Ohio State University’s campus. In this hands-on role, you’ll install and assist in producing signage for both academic and medical facilities, ensuring clarity and consistency for thousands of visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing interior and selecting exterior signage across university facilities, including ADA-compliant signs, wayfinding systems, vinyl graphics, wall murals, and window films.
- Operating advanced wide format printing equipment, vinyl plotters, router/cutters, laser cutters, and laminating equipment to produce signage.
- Utilizing hand and power tools and safely work from step ladders to complete installation and production tasks.
- Collaborating with customers to ensure accurate, high-quality installations that meet project specifications and university standards.
- Working independently and making sound decisions with minimal supervision.
Meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality standards are central to this position—perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, is mechanically inclined and enjoys working with their hands. You should also be comfortable working on ladders.

Required Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent education/experience.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and clean driving record.
Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
