What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Tech position at The Ohio State University?
The Production Techs provide general AV support for special events and athletic operations at the Schottenstein Center.
Production techs will work in the following areas:
- Theatrical lighting for house produced events
- Audio for press conferences and house produced events
- Conference Services AV
- Assist in maintenance and upkeep of JSC AV equipment
- Assist during game operations for athletics events in the JSC
Additional Job Description
Time Commitment:
Up to 5 hours per week dedicated to office hours for projects and maintenance
10- hours per week dedicated to events (based on event calendar).. allows for Flexible Work Schedule!
A few qualifications we look for:
- Interest in sporting and entertainment events, and related technical equipment
- Must be able to stand on your feet for 4 hours or more, rain or shine
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry equipment of 50 pounds or more
- Reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Availability to work primarily nights and weekends with some business hours available
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude at events at all times
- Ability to maintain and support open communication with Production Team
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving ability
- Possession of a strong, healthy work ethic
- Ability to multitask, understand priorities, and plan work in a timely manner
