Job Description
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager or Supervisor, this role supports the execution of a coordinated, lean supply chain system that operates efficiently and meets the needs of clinical areas within OSUWMC. The staff member is responsible for stocking and managing inventory levels of disposable and reusable supplies, as well as select portable equipment, within distribution and storage areas.
This position serves as a liaison between the Distribution and Logistics team and clinical departments, ensuring effective communication and support. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records such as requisition dates, delivery confirmations, invoice pricing, and back orders, while tracking key supply data including manufacturer numbers, expiration dates, recalls, and lot numbers.
The role also ensures the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the two-bin Kanban system, including picking, order processing, and stock replenishment. Success in this position requires strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage data tracking and perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED and 1 year of inventory management experience preferably in a hospital setting.
