Scope of Position
Coordinates outreach and relationship development activities within assigned territory and is responsible for growing referrals, services & programs on behalf of OSUCCC-The James. Acts as a liaison between referring physicians and the James concerning the improvement of clinical operations and communication support. Accountable for strengthening relationships between The James and other health care entities throughout Ohio.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Outreach, the Oncology Senior Outreach Coordinator cultivates professional relationships and markets cancer programs and services to physicians, medical staff, hospitals, and other referring entities. Manages an assigned regional territory and secures referrals from targeted physicians and practice groups. In conjunction with the Director, leads discussions with administrative and physician stakeholders to develop and execute regional outreach strategies. Responsible for identifying new business growth opportunities and implementing programmatic initiatives.
Position requires local and regional travel up to 80% of the time and flexibility to work non-traditional hours with occasional nights and weekends.

Minimum Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Health Education, Nursing, Health Services Administration or related field.
- 4 years’ experience in healthcare business development and/or physician liaison experience required. Oncology background and/or experience in an academic medical center setting desired.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Graduate degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Evidence of progressively responsible experience in healthcare and proven ability to build consensus, manage customer issues, and work with complex groups and systems is desired.
- 4 years’ experience in healthcare business development and/or physician liaison experience required. Oncology background and/or experience in an academic medical center setting desired.
